Duncan, 7th all-time shotblocker

Tim Duncan surpassed Shaquille O'Neal as seventh in NBA's all-time blocked shots list, in the last Sunday's 113-101 loss to the Miami Heat. Duncan has 2,733 blocks in 1,221 career games (2.2 avg), while Shaq retired in 2011 with 2,732 blocks in 1,207 nights (2.3 avg).

We must take into account that despite their similar numbers in blocks but also in rebounds (11.2 and 10.9 respectively), Duncan has spent most of his career playing power forward, and his back-to-the-rim play is a league's trademark, while O'Neal was one of the most dominant centers in the last fifteen years.

Despite at 37 years old (he'll turn 38 on April 25th) and in his 17th season with the Spurs, Duncan is still showing his magic with 14.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 29.1 minutes per game this season.
