No Kobe, No Nash

Two successive injuries almost prevented Kobe Bryant storming this year the third place in the NBA's all-time scoring list held by Michael Jordan. Kobe, who played just six regular season games and 83 points this season, will close with 31,700 (just 592 away from MJ). Still he has one year left on his contract, a justified reason to rethink to follow another year in the Los Angeles franchise.

Steve Nash has several points in common with Kobe. He has also played a historic game low this season (in this case ten nights) that doesn't fit with its infinite quality of previous years (only 76 points, 6 triples and 47 assists), in addition with a record at the gates (the Canadian totals 10,278 assists in his career, "only" 56 behind Mark Jackson for third place in this historical statistical section) and also has a year contract under his belt. Only time will tell if Nash, who just turned 40 years old, and a battered body (suffering from chronic lower back problems), will continue playing or will opt for a worthy retirement.
