Kareem, when his hook touched the sky

Thirty years ago, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made history. On April 5, 1984, at the old Salt Palace, in a meaningless game in which the Lakers won the Utah Jazz 129-115. Halfway through the third quarter, one of his patented sky-hook helped him pass Wilt Chamberlain as the top scorer of all time in the NBA. In that game Kareem scored 22 points (with 10-14 shooting from the field) in 34 minutes.
One more point than Wilt. His 31,420th. And the glory is his. And his career would continue for five more seasons, reaching 38,387. A massive figure, a very difficult one to break in the near future.
