Nash and Nowitzki increase the legend

They played together in Dallas, they were both MVP and last Tuesday they marked a milestone. The Canadian point guard became part of the league's historical podium after ousting Marc Jackson from third place (10,334).

This happened in the game that the Los Angeles Lakers lost at home to Houston Rockets 145-130, where Nash had a discreet performance with 3 points and 5 assists, which raised his tally to 10,335. Ahead of him, there are only the unreachables Jason Kidd (12,091) and John Stockton (15,806) .

Meanwhile Nowitzki is already a Top 10 all-time in scoring. The power forward was a key factor in last Tuesday's win away against Utah Jazz 95-83, and with 21 points (plus 6 rebounds and 3 assists) surpassed the legendary Oscar Robertson from the tenth place all-time (26,710).

The German, undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer, left his mark at 26,714, with only a few games ahead of finishing the present Regular Season. If he continues another year in active, and maintains his scoring average (21 pts) he surely will pass Olajuwon (as the top scorer not born in the United States), Elvin Hayes, Moses Malone and very probably Shaquille O'Neal.
