Argentina beat Mexico


At Tecnopolis stadium, Argentina beat Mexico 96-71 and crowned champions of the second Tri-Nations torunament, who serves as preparation for the World Cup in Spain. The team had won on debut to Brazil by 85-80.

As in the match against Brazil, Nicolas Laprovittola was the topscorer of the match with 14 points. But the scoring was well distributed: Walter Herrmann and Luis Scola followed him with 13 points each, and Leonardo Gutierrez and Andres Nocioni, both with 10.

The selected country will be fired today, before traveling to Europe, playing a friendly between owners, players and guests. The game will be held in Bahia Blanca. Tomorrow morning Lamas announce the last two cuts to form the 12-man squad for the World Cup.

Formations for tonight. Team A: Campazzo, Safar, Mata, Herrmann, Nocioni, Scola, Leo Gutierrez, Giorgetti, Delía and Vildoza (invited). Team B: Laprovittola, Richotti, Gallizzi and Bortolin, plus guests Brussino, Fernandez Chavez, Aguerre, Piñero, Gonzalo Torres and Lucas Perez.
