Senegal, the lion wants to roar

As one of the top African basketball teams, Senegal has no doubt that this will be a World Cup to show its best based on what Afrobasket made ??during the last year, where they finished third. The table is set and they devour everything in its path.

The group B which they will play is shared with Argentina, Greece, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and Croatia. The venue will be Sevilla and the stadium is the Palacio de Deportes San Pablo.

Led by Cheikh Sarr, the cast is ranked 41 of the FIBA ranking began training in the capital, Dakar, on 20 July with a total of 22 players. They then traveled to Malaga three weeks to adjust details and make the final decision there. 16 names are already competing for the final 12.

One of the casualties is the coach of one of its stars, Saer Sene who suffers an injury to his left knee and is recovering. Beyond the desire of the crack, the medical staff decided to respect the estimated time of this serious drawback and not quote the sporting event.

Finally, and as a fact to keep in mind, the Senegalese group played their first world cup exactly eight years ago in Japan. That is why it will be a sort of second chance to prove himself against stronger teams and international hierarchy.
