Senegal, making history

Senegal made ??the game of his life to win against the always difficult prognosis Croatia 77-75. With this result the Cheikh Sarr led 2-1 are placed like their arrears pending Argentina-Greece-Philippines and Puerto Rico.

The Balkan group went ahead very quickly especially through actions Dario Saric (13-6, min 5) but almost two triples followed Xane D'Almeida and robustness under rings Gorgui Dieng (Figure Team Africa with 27 pts and 8 reb) turned the scoreboard and ended the first quarter 16-18.

In the second quarter the favorable Senegal was more or less managed to finish. A 2 + 1 Ante Tomic was quickly countered by Gorgui Dieng, and tough defense prevented Senegalese Saric came to the ring. The ensuing turnovers Senegal made ??up out to 10 (30-40) in the first half.

Plug In defense of both teams was more or less even when an alley-oop masterfully N'Diaye was answered with a triple of Krunoslav Simon (2-5). Bogdanovic could not answer from the free (42-46, 25 min). Dieng followed intractable under the paint, and Tomic (good paper, 14 pts, 9 reb and 12-14 TL) helped the Croatian team bilge seven differences to the third quarter (52-59).

But the surprise would come in the final minutes. Croatia, loose from the perimeter, and Faye input with 2 + 1 (55-61, 31 min) before falling on fouled out. Zoric suffer the same fate.

Bogdanovic, only 1/7 from the perimeter, failing the final 2:00 to put their unique triple led 69-70 at Jasmin Repesa. But the defense Dieng Ndiaye and D'Almeida led mus inaccuracies and Croatia, two consecutive missed triples, escaped the party and the African team finished it from the line.
