Levell Sanders, 8000 points in Czech Republic

Levell Sanders continues to make history in the Czech NBL. The Brooklyn-born point-guard has become the third player to surpass the 8,000 point-mark in the competition, in the sixth round match in which his team, Pardubice, has won at Geosan Kolin, 88-82.

Sanders, 38, a graduate of Seton Hall, excepting for a year in Poland and one in Belgium, has played most of his career in the Czech Republic, a country which also holds the nationality. In a long career in this league has proven to be one of the best foreign players and their mastery of the game is such that their numbers speak for themselves.

In 523 games (this is his 15th season) his 8,056 points (15 per night) are worth it for third all time and the best among those not born in the Czech Republic. (Marek Stuchly, who retired in 2012 with 9,500 is the top scorer, and Jan Svoboda, still second with 8,155). Very good rebounder for being an external player (2,318, 4.4 average, he's eighth on the list), in assists (2552, 4.9 assists average) and steals (1085, 2.07) is second in both, led by a legend like Petr Czudek (2703 and 1152 respectively) who give very feasibly reach this season. In triples, is third with 816 (1.6) and is the all-time leader in minutes played with 18,050 (34.5 average).
