Nowitzki, without limits, surpasses Olajuwon

The 23 points scored in the Dallas Mavericks win against Sacramento Kings were enough for Dirk Nowitzki to be placed ninth in the NBA all-time scoring list. The German with his 26,953 career points surpasses the 26,946 of which was the most important internal history of the Houston Rockets, Hakeem Olajuwon. Thus Nowitzki also became the all-time scorer in NBA history not born in the United States.

And he can still aim even higher. Dirk could reach current eighth placed Elvin Hayes (27,313) and even the seventh Moses Malone (27,409). And considering last season (1,735 points, 21.7 per night) would not be unreasonable to think that the power forward could come to pass Shaquille O'Neal (sixth with 28.596) before retiring, separated away from just 1,643 points. At this rate, and attentive to his career average (22.5), he could do this peacefully this very regular season.
