Two for 6,000 in Philippine PBA

Arwind Santos and Cyrus Baguio reached that mark in their first semifinal gane of the 2014 All-Filipino Cup.
In the first game of the first semifinal series of the All-Filipino Cup played last December 18 where Alaska Aces beat 87-80 against Rain or Shine, Cyrus Baguio surpassed 6,000 career points in the PBA. Baguio, a 34-year-old guard-forward, has averaged 9.6 points this season (his 11th) and 11.2 in his entire career (6,016 points in 541 games, 55th all-time).

Only one place above in the top scoring list is Arwind Santos, who also in the same week surpassed the 6,000 point-mark in the Philippines top flight competition. This occurred last December 20, at the opening of the other semifinal where his team, San Miguel Beermen won 109-86 to Talk and Text. Santos, a 33 year-old multi-purpose small forward, has totaled 15.2 points and 8 rebounds average this season, and he amassed 6,025 points in his 9-year career (403 games, 15.0 average) and 3,626 rebounds (9.0 average).

And surprisingly, playing for Talk and Text, Ranidel de Ocampo (starting power forward of the Smart Gilas who played in the 2014 World Cup in Spain) will be the next to surpass the same mark, only 24 points behind it, as it has 5,976 (in 491 matches average 12.2 per game) as well as being acceptable in the paint zone (3,025 rebounds, 6.2) and in the perimeter (589 triples, 1.2 career average).
