Long Live The King

LeBron James achieved the 5,000 rebounds mark on November 9th against the Atlanta Hawks. The most amazing on this is the fact that he's not an internal player, although indeed he can play the five positions. In the next weeks he'll surpass two important milestones: 5,000 assists (he has 4,800 and players like Chris Paul, Tony Parker and Jason Terry are in similar numbers) and 20,000 points (at that point he breaks every precocity record).

Only 11 players from a very selected club (Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Oscar Robertson, John Havlicek, Jerry West, Kevin Garnett, Clyde Drexler, Gary Payton and Larry Bird) have achieved throughout their NBA careers 20,000 points, 5,000 rebounds and 5,000 assists in regular season. LeBron will make this with almost 28 years (his birthday is on Dec 30th). Not only this. He's just 70 3-pointers and 200 assists short of an amazing feat: be the first "non-guard" player who combined 5,000 career assists, 1,000 career 3-pointers and 1,000 steals.
