Tim Duncan surpasses David Robinson for 5th all-time blocker

With five blocks in the last Saturday win against Philadelphia 76ers 92-83, Tim Duncan surpassed fellow legend and former teammate David Roobinson and became the all-time shot blocker in San Antonio Spurs history, also clinched the 5th spot in the NBA all-time blocks list. Now, Duncan has 2,955, one more than The Admiral.

The NBA all-time blockers list is headed by Hakeem Olajuwon with 3,830. Behind him, three other players exceeded 3,000: Dikembe Mutombo, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Mark Eaton. Then comes Duncan, who surely will join the club before the end of the regular season.

After the match, Gregg Popovich highlighted especially the player's timing as essential to achieve that great figure.
